Dear Passion and Fire Friends and Partners,
We had a marvelous time with our family over Thanksgiving! This time of Covid-19 has made us appreciate one another even more. We were especially happy to see our daughter, Joy, after she experienced a near death situation with the virus. But just as God brought her through to healing with her snake-bite experience in the jungle, she has been healed once more! God is so good! Thank you all for praying! We’ve been praying for you and your families, as well. Our prayer has been that your hearts would be illuminated with a fresh revelation of Christ’s love and care for you this Christmas season!
He is coming to your rescue!
Dream
A few nights ago, I had a dream of a divided television screen which I interpreted to be a divided heart. On the left side of the screen the old “King Kong” movie was playing. Fay Wray was in the hand of King Kong as he carried her to the top of the Empire State building. And on the other side of the screen, Jesus was fording a raging river while carrying someone on His shoulders. He was rescuing them.
I believe both of the dreams represent how many of you are feeling these days. Some may feel like King Kong (our enemy the devil) is carrying you to the top and about to drop you over the side or maybe you’re feeling like you’re fording an impassable river of problems. I interpret the left side of the screen to represent the left-side of our brain; the side that analyzes everything and the right side of the screen to represent the right-side of our brain; that is the creative side representing Holy Spirit. When we analyze things, we have a difficult time seeing beyond the problem. But when we yield to the power of Holy Spirit, we’ll be carried over and out of the difficulty, for Jesus IS our solution and our rescuer.
“In Bethlehem, a rescuer was born for you. He is the Lord Yahweh, the Messiah!” (Luke 2:11)
“Is there anything too hard for God?” (Jeremiah 32:27)
The answer is No. There’s nothing too hard for Him! During this time of duress, I say don’t allow the enemy to destroy your confidence in the Lord.
“For all God’s promises find their ‘yes’ of fulfillment in Him. And as His ‘yes’ and our ‘amen’ ascend to God, we bring Him glory!” (2 Corinthians 1:20)
And I’m hearing Him say, “Let me get this!”
Jesus is coming to fill your vision with Himself this Christmas season. The children in the old nursery rhyme “The Night Before Christmas” had sugar plums dancing in their head, but I say to you that Jesus wants to be the one to fill your head and heart with Himself. Turn your eyes to Him, for He is jealous for you! Why not let Him get up close and personal with you?
I’m here to serve you!
Dream
Just recently, I dreamed that Jesus wrapped a towel around His waist and came to me and said, “I’m here to serve you!” (Luke 22:27 “Am I not here with you as one who serves you?”) He will take care of you. You’re sitting at His table. He wants to rescue you from yourself and from the schemes of the enemy.
Let me get this!
I also had a similar dream after that where I was at a restaurant and as I was getting ready to pay the bill He spoke up and said, “Here, let me get this!” Let Him take care of that problem. Give it to Him, so that the enemy won’t have a chance to wear you down. Turn to your rescuer. He is here to deliver you! Fix your eyes on the lover of your soul, not on the enemy. “Don’t give in and allow the slanderous accuser, the Devil to manipulate you. Instead, turn to the Lord and run into His heart so that He can hide you there in His faithfulness” (Ephesians 4:27). “His massive arms are wrapped around you, protecting you. You can run under His covering of majesty and hide. His arms of faithfulness are a shield keeping you from harm” (Psalm 91:4).
“So now come freely and boldly to where love is enthroned, to receive mercy’s kiss and discover the grace you urgently need to strengthen you in your time of weakness.” (Hebrews 4:16)
Let Christ be your Governor
And lastly, this month I keep hearing the phrase “and the government shall rest upon His shoulders”. Believe me, this has brought great comfort to me during this highly contested election. And it should comfort us in every situation. He wants you to know that at the end of the day, He’s got this. He wants to be your guiding light so that His wisdom and His goodness can guide you through. You don’t have to shoulder burdens alone. He wants to be your governor!
You can rest your burdens on His strong shoulders and as they rest there you will find peace. When we carry our own burdens, we sweat, we get tired, we get worn out, we don’t sleep. But when we give them to Him, we rest for there’s no struggling for Him. That’s why Yahweh instructed the priests not to wear wool in the Holy place. He didn’t want them to sweat. Just like Himself for He never sweats, for with Him the problems all end and “It’s finished!” It’s over and done! He has the answer you’re looking for. He wants to encourage you this Christmas season “that the government will be on His shoulders! For He is the Prince of Peace and as Yahweh, Commander of Angel Armies will ensure that it is finished!” (Isaiah 9:7)
“A child has been born for us; a son has been given to us. The responsibility of complete dominion will rest on his shoulders, and his name will be: The Wonderful One! The Extraordinary Strategist! The Mighty God The Father of Eternity! The Prince of Peace! Great and vast is His dominion He will bring immeasurable peace and prosperity He will rule on David’s throne and over David’s kingdom to establish and uphold it, promoting justice and righteousness from this time forward and forevermore.” (Isaiah 9:6-7)
This makes me sing! Why not join me now:
O’ come let us adore Him,

Christ the Lord!
Let Him govern your heart and lift up your head, until you’re filled with hope!
