January 2018 – A Year of Endless Opportunity

You empower me for victory with your wrap-around presence”
-Psalm 18

Happy New Year!

We’re so excited as we begin this new year! With the launch of the Passion Translation New Testament and eventually the whole Bible, we know that we have endless opportunities coming to us in 2018 and beyond! And, we hear the Lord saying that as He blessed Father Abraham, so it will be with those we choose to bless. So we declare over you for 2018 a year of endless blessing and opportunity!

 A Year of Endless Opportunity

Behind you is infinite power, before you is endless possibility. As you stay connected with Abba Father, your strength will be renewed like an eagle, and you will become fearless like Samson and Deborah. And this year just watch as you begin to see what He sees; endless opportunities are waiting for you! In fact, this year you will have some opportunities of a lifetime. But you must have eyes to see them!

In a dream I saw people that were wearing those huge plastic sunglasses that you see at the party supply stores. They were about 3 times bigger than their faces and people with ears that were as big as the ears of Dumbo, the elephant. And then the scene changed, and I saw people with little tiny glasses that would barely fit on the end of their noses and ears that were so small that you could barely call them ears at all. The Lord said, “I have come to bring you a bigger picture, a greater vision and a clearer focus.  And with that will come the ability to hear with greater clarity what the Spirit is saying this year.”

I see outrageously new and different opportunities awaiting those who have eyes to see and ears to hear. Some of those opportunities may start out as seemingly mundane and ordinary, but I see the Lord turning them into more than meets the natural eye. They are tailor made to fit you. Also, many of you will be released into greater realms of fruitfulness with more than you could have ever imagined in the natural. It may be something as simple as volunteering at your church, working with a mercy ministry, serving another person’s vision, moving from one career to take a lesser job. Though some of the opportunities may seem small at the onset there will be special favor and promotion attached on the backside that will lead to even greater opportunities. Like Joseph, many will go from the prison to the palace at a moments notice. For I see people entering in through small doors that lead to larger doors on the other side. We’ve moved into a day of tremendous favor and increase.

PROPHETIC WORD for 2018

A Year of Victory

Psalm 18 – This Year’s Psalm

I LOVE YOU, LORD

(Here’s just the first 3 verses)

“Lord,I passionately love you! I want to embrace you, for now you’ve become my Power! You’re as real to me as bedrock beneath my feet, like a castle on a cliff, my forever firm Fortress, my Mountain of hiding, my Pathway of escape, my Tower of rescue where none can reach me. My secret Strength and Shield around me, you are Salvation’s Ray of Brightness shining on the hillside, always the Champion of my cause. So all I need to do is to call to you, singing to you, the praiseworthy God. And when I do, I’m safe and sound in you.”

Wow! Psalm 18 was composed by David when the Lord rescued him from all his many enemies, including Saul. With every new opportunity there comes a contending by the enemy, but we must be reminded of the words of Psalm 18. No matter what the enemy throws at us this year and no matter what happens, we’re always winners. God has already secured our victory, for He is jealous over us. He is the Champion of our cause, and as we remember this and sing through our difficulties, we are overcomers. Keep your focus on Him in 2018, stand back and watch the salvation of our God this year!

Here are just a few more verses from Psalm 18:32-35

“You have wrapped me in power, and now you’ve shared with me your perfection. Through you I ascend to the highest peaks of your glory to stand in the heavenly places, strong and secure in you. You’ve trained me with the weapons of warfare-worship; now I’ll descend down into battle with power to chase and conquer my foes. You empower me for victory with your wrap-around presence. Your power within makes me strong to subdue, and by stooping down in gentleness you strengthened me and made me great!”

A Year of Endless Hope

Lately I’ve been waking up to birds singing. I don’t remember Kansas birds singing in the winter before!? Maybe they have and I’ve just missed it. Or, maybe it’s just been a waking dream, but no matter—it’s been a sweet awakening! It makes me think of a verse from an Emily Dickinson’s poem about hope.

“Hope is the thing with feathers that perches in the soul and sings the tunes without the words and never stops at all.”

I think I read this on the internet somewhere, and it just stuck with me. Now, every time I’m awakened by birds singing it reminds me of the incredible hope we have in Christ! I hear the Lord saying, “Whatever it is that troubled you last year, this year it will not defeat you, but you will hear a song of hope playing in your heart all through 2018, the song of hope that never stops!

I know when we mention the “Blessed Hope” most Christians think of the rapture, but I think of Jesus, He’s really our “Blessed Hope”! Remember Him and that song in your heart should start to play. God has such good things for you ahead! And He’s singing a love song over you, a song of favor, and He will keep singing it until your family turns around, until you’re feeling better, until your finances are in order and overflow, until your relationships are healed. And His song will continue!

He’s saying, “I’m singing over you, and my voice will continue to get louder until it fills your heart with the strength to arise in the Spirit of overcoming faith and dunamis power. You will break through to unlimited possibilities! Don’t listen to the funeral dirge that the enemy wants to release in your soul, but let Me drown it out with My love song.” Listen to His melody, and hope will arise within you, and you will experience a renewing and a refreshing. A beautiful new day will manifest before you full of His power and victory!

So now it’s time to join your song with His. Don’t allow the circumstances of this life to cause your vision to dim and your hearing to be dull, for then you’ll miss the incredible opportunities that are right before you. Just join your song with His and stand back and watch as all your enemies scatter and fall!

Ps. 18:46-49

“The Almighty is alive and conquers all! Praise is lifted high to the unshakable God!

Towering over all, my Savior-God is worthy to be praised! Look how he pays back harm to all who harm me, subduing all the people (subduing all sicknesses, problems at home, financial difficulties, addictions; name your problem and put it in there,) who come against me. He rescues me from my enemies; he lifts me up high and keeps me out of reach, far from the grasp of my violent foe. This is why I thank God with high praises! I will sing my song to the Highest God, so all among the nations will hear me!”

And finally let’s go in and out of 2018 with the song of the Lord in our hearts! I believe that we will come out at the end of the year singing Ps. 18:30-31.

“O what a God you are! Your path for me has been perfect!
All your promises have proven true!”
